Hello again,
When I want to create a song starting from 0, I usually start with the drums.
(Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Perc)
I'm neither a drummer nor a musician, but I think I can play it more or less rhythmically.
However, my problem is that I can't really play by watching/listening to the metronome or BPM grid.
So let's say I just start playing 2 full beats (8 single beats if it's a 4/4 ryhthm), and when I have finished,
I don't really know what tempo it is.
The only thing I know is which is the starting note and which is the end note.
Is there a possibility that Studio One detects the BPM automatically and quantize it?
(If I can tell it start from to)
Maybe with some more practice it's no problem to play drums while watching the grid or listening to the metronome.
Later I can still change its tempo with the BPM field.
P.S: I use some WAV drum kits - Presence instrument.
Best regards

Quick answer no there is no BPM detection.
What you need to do is called beat mapping.
