Softube Saturation Knob Missing

Softube Saturation Knob Missing
Hey everybody,
Softube is not showing in my MixBus plugins at all. Is this where I need to clear the blacklist or something like that? I've never had to mess with this area before.

Hmmm...
I cleared the blacklist, scanned, Softube now appears, which includes the Console 1 plugin, but the Saturation Knob is still missing.

Are you talking about the console 1 or any other softube plugin?
I don't know about such a 'saturation' knob in console 1. There are drive/character knobs in the default ssl 4000 E strip (and on the hardware)
Or did I miss the essence of your post?

The Saturation Knob is a free, separate Softube plugin, distinct from Console One. I see Console One in MB now (don't use it), but I still don't see the Saturation Knob.

Out of curiosity I installed it but MB only sees the VST version not the AU, and that after several times clearing blacklist, cash, scan, quit MB etc.
But the plugin is in the components folder... strange. I often have the feeling that MB prefers VST over AU.

He’s on Windows..but, do make sure the saturation knob isnt VST3 only.

Aha..maybe its the more recent VST thing..LOL..I'm not sure what that is and I'm not sure that Mixbus handles those.

I'm quite sure that Mixbus doesn't work with VST3 at all. ..I however, have no idea if the Softtube thing IS that-just throwing it out there..quick google search says it's available as VST and VST3..same download package, so highly unlikely since in Windows, the VST3 plug ins go somewhere VERY different from the VST2, so it's not likely the reason.
So, you clear your blacklist..you have it run the scan again, and when it's done, you want to click the little 'dot in the square' in the upper right hand corner of the main page to view the MB log--it will show every file it's scanning and the results--when it gets to the SaturationKnob.DLL (or whatever it's called) it should be followed by some reason it's putting it on the blacklist.

Saturation Knob works on Mixbus here. BTW, I use Patchwork to run VST3s.

Hmmm..mine is still not showing up. Error log and warnings actually doesn't mention Softube at all after I clear the cache, clear the blacklist then rescan.
